Dock & Walkway Lighting in Manteo, NC
A waterfront walkway in Manteo, North Carolina required a complete lighting and electrical refresh. Angel Advanced Technologies removed the electrical components associated with the existing walkway lighting and coordinated a new system designed for dependable illumination, a clean appearance, and the requirements of the local setting.
Lighting Designed for the Manteo Waterfront
Waterfront lighting has to do more than simply make a walkway bright. Fixture placement, glare, usable light levels, symmetry, durability, and the effect of light on neighboring properties all matter. For this project, AAT worked with the Town of Manteo, the specified engineer, and the lighting manufacturer to coordinate a solution consistent with local light-pollution requirements.
Symmetrical Fixture Placement and Useful Light Output
The fixtures were arrayed symmetrically along the walkway so the finished installation would look intentional during the day and provide consistent illumination after dark. The design also considered the lumen output needed along the length of the walkway rather than treating each fixture as an isolated light source.
